Director: Mike Sammon

Mike has been involved in amatear theatre for a number of years and has perfomed leading roles and directed for many societies throughout the North West. SAMT holds special memories for Mike as this is where he met his wife Norma during Robert & Elizabeth in 1988. More recently Mike has spent more time off stage directing shows such as Me & My Girl, Little Shop of Horrors and Robin, Prince of Sherwood.

Since the death of Saunie Williams, Mike has been chairman of the Charity funding organisationShowcase In his spare time, Mike collects Teddy bears, occasionally sees his wife and make guest appearences at work!!.

SAMT are really pleased to welcome Mike back to cast his talents over Mack & Mabel


Musical Director: Ian Christensen

Ian has been a musical theatre enthusiast since his school days and has long ago played minor roles in G&S productions and sang in the chorus for other shows. His first show as Musical Director was with SAMT (then Sale Operatic Society) nearly 20 years ago and has since worked with many local groups.

Recent credits include Sondhiems Assassins, Yeoman of the Guard and West Side Story and he recently did Fiddler on the Roof for which he received a nomination for Best Musical Director at the Manchester Musical Awards.

Choreographer: Val Jellyman

Val started dancing at the age of seven. From Sale Academy of dance she progressed to the professional stage at sixteen. This was followed by a successful career in Panto, summer season and cabaret.

Val joined the Nomads in 1984 and has choregraphed many of thier productions incuding Music hall '88, A lit bit of what you fancy, Overture and Beginners and 5 and 9 the latter two winning her the GMDF trophy for choreograpgy. Val worked with Mike previously, chorographing Robin, Prince of Sherwood, Hot Mikado and many others.

The last time Val worked with SAMT was for Pirates of Penzance and we are pleased to wecome her back.
